Infrastructure audit
Why an infrastructure audit is most often performed:
- Performance issues (network and ERP system)
- ISO audit (recommendations related to knowledge and IT security)
- verification of safety issues
Steps in completing an audit:
1. Signing of an NDA (corporate data privacy agreement)
In order to secure cooperation between companies it is worth making such a “record”, it gives the entities a guarantee of reliability of cooperation on paper. Often in the so-called good partnership relations this element can be omitted, but I personally advocate the conclusion of such an agreement.
2. Audit Objective
It involves establishing direct contact with the person responsible, asking what is the purpose of the audit and what benefits will occur after its implementation (owner or IT team)
3. On-site visit
The next step, often without which we are not able to proceed to the next steps, is a “site inspection”. Notice that may be a local inspection on site as well as remote. Depends on what exactly the audit concerns.
4. Adapting tools to the audit being performed
5. Conclusions
After the audit, conclusions and recommendations are sent (these may include and refer to ISO)
It often happens that after certain activities the client decides to solve their infrastructure challenges, as a partner we present the possibilities and implement such a service as a comprehensive one according to appropriate schedules agreed beforehand.
